Founded in September 2000, Sweetpea, Friends of Rutland Animals is a 501(c)(3)non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals in the Wachusett area and beyond. Sweetpea provides rehabilitative care, boarding, and training to our animals until they are adopted into good homes, however long that may take. We are committed to promoting responsible care, educating on the need to spay and neuter, and influencing a beneficial change in the treatment of all animals.
