Nurses House is a national fund dedicated to providing short-term financial assistance to nurses in need. Since 1922, Nurses House has helped thousands of nurses in all 50 states regain health and productivity. We work quietly behind the scenes to ease the financial strain that accompanies injury, illness and disability. We’re nurses, caring for other nurses. Of late, however, Nurses House has been inundated with requests that far outweigh our resources. So while the number of nurses helped has risen in recent years, so, too, has the number we’ve had to turn away. Even when hurt, sick, or down on their luck, nurses are still nurses. And while it’s often difficult for nurses to ask for help in their hour of need, they who spend their lives selflessly giving “little unremembered acts of kindness and love” deserve extra special care. Here at Nurses House, we know-- and we remember.
