Vision Statement Our vision is that the Light of the World Evangelization Process will help all people to have a living encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit and help them live as a committed disciple of Christ. This will be lived out in an Evangelizing parish using the Light of the World Process beginning with a renewal of the Sacraments of Initiation and discipleship in Small Community. This process reaches out to all people from the new faith seeker to the most faith filled disciple and helps them to become active servants of God. Those awakened in their faith become the inviters to others, to come closer to Jesus Christ. Core Values All teaching will be based upon the orthodox teaching of the Kerygma of the Gospel and the tenets of our Catholic Faith.We will hold to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and will not alter the Gospel of the Catholic Faith in any way. We will hold to the teachings of the Pope and Roman Catholic Magesterium. We will respect the individual faith journey of each person - We believe that God is calling to each person and seeks to impart more and more love and guidance in their life. Whether they have been walking with Him a long time or are just beginning their journey, God always has something more for them. We will treat every person as Jesus would, with the respect and love befitting a child of God. Leadership from the Pastor and strong faith filled parish members is the key to having the Light of the World process become an effective means for evangelization and renewal in the Church. Because of this, all pastors and leaders will be invited to first live the retreat and focus on their own faith journeys. Each experience of training and service will seek to encourage ongoing spiritual growth for those who serve. The Light of the World process is for all parishes. Every effort will be made to work with all types of parishes; large or small, financially challenged or wealthy, urban or rural.
