Cause Description:
S.D.H.P.A. was started to provide local horsemen and horsewomen, especially their children, with a healthy, fun and safe place to take their horses for riding and showing. We offer monthly meetings, where we plan our yearly calendar of show dates and encourage member input and suggestions. We invite guest speakers on various equine topics and stimulate members to meet new equine enthusiasts. Our yearly shows include a Gymkhana Circuit, Open Western Pleasure Shows and English Shows. We also have wonderful trail rides and even overnighters. We promote various clinics and seminars to help educate our membership and youth. At the end of the year, we have an Awards Banquet to acknowledge the Championship and Reserve Championship of all Divisions and their sponsors.
