The Mission of the Mountain Pleasure Association is to preserve the Mountain Pleasure Horses of the Appalachian hills of Kentucky. The Mountain Pleasure Horse is a breed with 160 years of traceable lineage and is considered the base for the gaited horse in the United States. The Mountain Pleasure Horse has now been listed on the critically endanger extinction listed with the Livestock Conservatory. In 2008 only 14 offspring’s were registered as Mt Pleasure Horse's. With this small number of registrations the Mountain Pleasure Breed must move in a positive direction of awareness. Your donations will help promote and revitalize the future of the Mountain Pleasure Horse.
