Cause Description:
Good for Kids is a group of educators, community members and students with the sole purpose of bringing meaningful support in the form of self-sustaining resources, health needs, educational and vocational programs directly to the children of La Carpio, a Nicaraguan refugee camp in Costa Rica. Located in Westchester County, New York Good for Kids is a not-for-profit organization of teachers, students and retired educators who appreciate how fortunate we are in all that we have. Mindful of our many advantages, we aim to look beyond ourselves and reach out to others. We've worked with children all our lives and feel compelled to help children with so little. As a team of everyday teachers, administrators, students, retirees,parents... we've banded together for a worthy cause!
