The Rescued Rescuers, Inc. is an all-volunteer organization located in the Panhandle of Florida. We are a charitable, not for profit organization that exists for the sole purpose of rescuing unwanted dachshunds and other breeds in need. Our mission is to serve the Panhandle area of Florida by providing a service to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted dogs. The focus of our efforts through our mission is to serve dogs in need by pledging to restore health with any vetting these dogs may require, including having them spayed and neutered; to rehabilitate those unwanted dogs that need confidence building and training; and to acquire quality permanent, loving homes for the placement of these unwanted dogs. With our efforts being primarily focused on the care and needs of these dogs, we hope to educate the public on the importance of adopting rescue dogs as opposed to purchasing dogs and through education, be able to assist owners within the community with behavioral and health issues to prevent dogs from becoming “unwanted”. The Rescued Rescuers, Inc. exists by the dogs, for the dogs which will not only save countless unwanted dogs along the Emerald Coast but will educate and inspire our community and encourage the future rescuers of tomorrow.
