The Lopers Club is one of the oldest running organizations in the country (since 1977), as well as one of the largest in California with a membership ranging from 700 to over 1000 each year. The main objective of this nonprofit organization, operated almost solely by volunteers, is to help people achieve health and fitness by training walkers and runners to complete their first—or subsequent—full 26.2 mile marathon.
