Cause Description:
The purpose of The SAVUS Fund is to prevent the euthanization and forfeiture of pets that have been wrongfully seized by animal control officers, humane societies and the like. When an animal is seized many times it inundates the facility they go to with an excess amount of animals, leaves the pet owner fighting for the return of their, as well as puts the animal in danger of getting ill, depressed, possibly losing their lives and causes the death of many animals seeking placement for adoption. Th SAVUS Fund is working hard to improve all animal laws to prevent the destruction of families before it happens through education, assistance and lobbying to repeal the "Seizure Bond" and replace it with a "Contested Seizure Clause" and holding those performing unjust seizures, causing harm to those animals are held accountable for their actions under the same laws pet owners must abide by. In addition to pet owners being wrongfully accused, breeders and no kill rescues are also targets. The SAVUS Fund is available to assist them as well. In addition to changing laws, The SAVUS Fund will provide an advocate and foster if approved by the judge to keep the animals healthy and keep the playing field level for the accused. We cannot do this without funding from the public, it is going to take alot to provide the needs to protect the animals. We are working on getting a 501(c)3 status so your donation will be tax deductible. The corruption against our animals must end.
