Cause Description:
Fundraising to help pay for Ashly's medical expenses. Ashly Young is 21 years old. She was born with a rare genetic disorder called geleophysic dysplasia. As a result she has dwarfism, heart defects, pseudotumor cerebi which requires shunts to rid of the excess spinal fluid. With this disorder it affects her trachea known as the windpipe. She has severe tracheobronchomalacia which means her trachea is collapsed and soft and floppy. imagine trying to breathe using a squished straw. It is life threatening, and if she gets sick the doctors are saying it will end her life. A normal trachea size is 10mm and her trachea size is 2mm, the size of a 1 year old.
