Hands Across the Sea is dedicated to raising the literacy levels of children in the Eastern Caribbean by sending great, new, age-appropriate, culturally-relevant books, creating borrowing libraries and fostering sustainability with ongoing support and professional development. From 2007 to 2020 we have sent 500,000 books to assist 800 schools serving 140,000 children.
