Cause Description:
The Guilderland Running Booster Club (GRBC) is part of the Guilderland High School Sports Program in Guilderland, NY. The purpose of GRBC is to support the cross country runners from Guilderland HS and MS. Funds raised by GRBC go directly to the team members in the form of purchasing running gear and covering membership dues ($30.00 per runner) for students with financial hardship. GRBC also purchases, food for our home invitational, race needs (timers and course markers), food for the end of the year banquet, shirts for each runner (180 students were on the XC team in 2014). Additionally, throughout the season, cross country runners attend Invitational meets at other high schools and colleges. GRBC pays for busing to invitationals such as Manhattan, NY and Bowden, NY. When funds are available, GRBC will provide money toward these trips in order to lessen the cost for the students. All funds raised, are then used to benefit each member of the Guilderland XC team.
