Woof River Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer run foster based organization in Memphis, TN. Our mission is to save as many dogs and puppies as possible from high kill shelters and the streets in the South. Each and every dog lives as part of the family in a loving foster home until the perfect forever home is found. An average of 1200 dogs a month are euthanized in the MidSouth. There are also countless dogs living on the streets without vet care or even shelter. These heartbreaking numbers are the fuel that keeps us working all day every day for free. We serve all ages and breeds. We believe every dog deserves a chance at a warm, loving home every day of his life – and that new life starts with us!
