Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue is a 100% non-profit 501(c)(3), 100% volunteer operated, no-kill animal rescue located in Cincinnati, Ohio. All of our rescue pets are microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested and on heartworm and flea prevention and spayed/neutered. We provide any other necessary vet care as needed for every pet we rescue to ensure they are healthy for adoption. All donations go directly to the rescue, rehabilitation and care of animals in need in our communities. We rescue the majority of our adoptable pets from open intake shelters, high kill shelters, and by working closely with other rescues and shelters to rescue and transport from rural areas with high euthanasia rates. Some of our rescues are owner surrenders/surrendered to a vet for medical/financial reasons or found as strays and not claimed. We are primarily a dog rescue, although we do try to help cats, kittens and other small animals when we can. Without our dedicated volunteers to operate our thrift store, our animal rescue wouldn't be successful. The thrift store exists solely to help fund Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue. 100% of the proceeds from the store go directly to help animals in need! Donations of items to our thrift store, as well as cash donations online, are CRITICAL for our rescue mission. We need your financial support to continue to save lives. The average cost to completely vet a healthy dog coming into our rescue, is roughly between $200-$300; and that doesn't cover food, treats, bedding, or any of the other miscellaneous items required to maintain a pet in our care.
